Stable Moments®It is an internationally certified, trauma responsive, equine-assisted learning program that provides youth, ages 4–22, with crucial life skills to facilitate healthy transitions into adulthood. Stable Moments® is ten months of weekly unmounted horse programming and one-on-one mentorship. During this period, enduring and healthy relationships are cultivated between the horse, mentor and youth. These relationships serve as the bedrock upon which healing from trauma and essential life skills are built, developing confidence and resilience. Within this nurturing environment, youth gain invaluable tools such as decision-making skills, executive functioning capabilities, and self-regulation—all of which are pivotal for their future success.

Horse PowHER/Poder Femequina
Coming Soon!
Horse PowHER was developed with an explicit focus on building resilience following trauma. This innovative trauma- and violence-informed, community-based program is offered to young women (ages 13 to 22) who have experienced interpersonal trauma — including child maltreatment, witnessing or experiencing domestic violence, or intimate partner violence. The program is delivered in a small-group format and includes 13 weekly equine-assisted learning (EAL) sessions, supplemented with trauma psychoeducation and expressive arts workshops. In addition to Horse PowHER, Poder Femequina will be offered for Spanish-speaking young women, facilitated by native Spanish speakers to ensure participants can process and express themselves in their preferred language and cultural context. Both programs are designed to foster connection, trust, and healing with horses as partners. This initiative is founded on the belief that hands-on EAL experiences, combined with expressive arts and trauma-informed psychoeducation, will help young women reduce post-traumatic symptoms, improve mental health, strengthen personal coping skills and resiliency, and reduce their risk of future harm. |
